Information evening: Thu, May 21, 2026 | 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. (CET)
Demonstration session: Thu, May 28, 2026 | 7:00 PM - 8:15 PM (CET)
Language: German (optional English subtitles)
Location: Online
Would you like to explore the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model? Our two-part event offers a hands-on introduction to the theory and approach of IFS. The info evening (90 minutes) introduces you to the foundations of IFS: the model's view of human nature, the different inner parts (Managers, Firefighters, and Exiles), and the central role of the "Self" as an inner healing presence. Alongside a clear theoretical overview, you will have your first opportunities to experience working with inner parts directly. The demo session (75 minutes) deepens your understanding through a live demonstration of an IFS session, complemented by expert input and space for questions. This makes the attitude and approach of IFS immediately tangible and accessible. The event is primarily aimed at psychotherapists, clinical physicians with a psychotherapeutic qualification, and Heilpraktiker für Psychotherapie who wish to explore IFS or deepen their understanding of it.

Self-like parts often carry heavy responsibilities: keeping our internal systems steady, calm and competent. They help us endure, function, and succeed through clarity, reason, courage, or care. In demanding situations, they can respond with remarkable composure and discernment. They may become leading parts of our systems, often deeply intertwined with our sense of identity. These loyal heroes are frequently unrecognised, overworked, and undervalued, yet inviting them to unblend can feel deeply unsettling. In this workshop, we will approach these parts with warmth, respect, and appreciation. Rather than dismantling them, we will explore how to befriend them and truly listen to their stories. We will discover not only the roles they have taken on but also the cultural expectations and burdens that may have shaped them. We will learn to discern Self-like-Parts within ourselves and our clients without hierarchy or inducing shame. We will explore how to respectfully and safely invite these dedicated protectors to unblend, to build a relationship in which they feel valued for their service and invited to become our allies. When Self-like parts begin to feel appreciated for what they have carried, there is often a sense of relief. They no longer have to hold everything together on their own. The setting allows space for questions, shared reflection, and guided practice, including small-group work. By the end of the workshop, participants will have a grounded, compassionate understanding of Self-like parts and a practical set of approaches that foster clarity and connection.

Unblending with the conference table – a practical workshop for IFS therapists
Director: Mag. Laura Milojevic
Dates: September 11th / October 2nd / October 23rd, 2026 | 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM (CET)
Supervision : November 20, 2026 | 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (CET)
Language: German
Location: Online
This workshop series is designed for IFS therapists who want to deepen their capacity for unblending and bring greater clarity to complex inner systems. Using the conference room technique, participants learn to structure polarised or chaotic dynamics, externalise parts in a targeted way, and support decision-making processes — particularly when many parts are activated at the same time. Through demonstration sessions, hands-on small group work, and a supervision block, participants gain direct experience and confidence in the therapeutic application of the technique. Led by Mag. Laura Milojevic, the conference room opens up new possibilities for creating overview, movement, and effectiveness within the IFS process — both in professional practice and in one's own self-exploration.
