IFS in practice – structure and security from the first session
Course description
From theoretical knowledge to safe application - mastering IFS in practice
You are familiar with the IFS model. You understand its components. You have internalized the theory.
But what happens when a client sits in front of you for the first time?
Many experience a break right here:
How can I structure the process clearly?
How do I keep track of all the shares?
What is the next step to stay in the flow of the IFS model?
This practice-oriented workshop closes precisely this gap and provides you with a clear roadmap – from the initial consultation to structured session support.
What you can expect:
Morning: The initial consultation – clarity from the start
A successful initial consultation often determines the entire subsequent process.
But what information do you really need to understand the inner landscape of your clients? And how do you use that to lay the foundation for further work?
A tried and tested form guides you step by step through the initial consultation.
We will first examine each point in detail and discuss how this information can support you in the further process.
The structured form will help you:
to reliably extract relevant information
to gain valuable insights into important aspects of your clients as well as
to form initial hypotheses about internal dynamics
You will then experience a live demo session where you can see the form directly in the application and use it yourself for taking notes – making the structure immediately tangible.
Afternoon: Orientation in the IFS process – keeping track of the main points
6 Fs, Unblending, Healing Steps – where are you right now and how can you keep track of everything?
The second part of the workshop focuses on clear process support during an IFS session. Here, too, I will present you with a structured protocol that will help you maintain an overview and sharpen your focus.
You will learn how to document sessions so that you always know,
where you are in the process
which parts you work with and
when an unblending took place
A further demo session and subsequent dyad exercise will give you the opportunity to directly implement and deepen what you have learned.
After both practical demonstrations, there will be ample opportunity for questions, reflection, and exchange .
Here's what you'll take with you:
Security in the initial consultation through a clear step-by-step structure
A better overview of parts, dynamics, and next steps
Clarity during the session – you always know where you stand in the model.
Ready-to-use protocol templates that you can customize
Target audience:
Anyone who has completed IFS Level 1 or the IFS basic training and wants more clarity, structure and security for their first own sessions.
