What is your role as a PA?
Support for participants
They accompany small groups, lead exercise sessions, and maintain self-energy for the group – even when interpersonal dynamics arise. They provide targeted feedback to the person in the therapist role and simultaneously accompany the person in the client role attentively and protectively, especially when repressed aspects of themselves are touched upon.
Support for the coaching team
They provide organizational support to the trainer team, reflect on the learning progress of the participants, and regularly participate in team meetings for preparation and follow-up.
Promoting group development
They convey self-leadership and an IFS-compliant mindset less through explanation than through their own presence and behavior within the group. They support participants in recognizing and integrating personal challenges within the IFS process.

What are the advantages of becoming a PA?
Creditable hours towards IFSI certification
The PA (Program Assistant) role deepens the understanding of the IFS model in a direct practical context. The PA days completed are recognized as training and practical hours towards IFSI certification. Additionally, Program Assistants are listed in the official IFSI directory.
In-depth IFS practice
Working alongside learners is one of the most effective ways to consolidate one's own IFS knowledge. Repeatedly experiencing the curriculum from a new perspective complements Levels 2 and 3 in a way that cannot be achieved through simply continuing to learn.
Free participation and compensation for expenses
Program Assistants participate in the training free of charge and receive a daily allowance to cover meal and travel expenses.
Networking and professional exchange
The PA role allows direct contact with experienced IFS trainers and access to an international network of professional colleagues.
