Become part of the training team

What is your role as a PA?

Participant support

You facilitate small groups, lead practice sessions, and create a safe, learning-conducive space — holding Self-energy for the group even as interpersonal dynamics arise. You offer targeted feedback to the person in the therapist role, while accompanying the person in the client role with care and attunement — especially when exiled parts are touched.

Trainer support

You support the training team with organizational tasks and reflect back participants' learning progress. You regularly attend team meetings for preparation and follow-up of the training.

Supporting group development

You help participants understand and navigate personal challenges in the IFS process by listening actively and sharing tried-and-tested IFS approaches. You embody Self-leadership and an IFS-congruent way of being — not primarily through explanation, but through your own behavior and presence in the group.

What are the advantages of becoming a PA?

Professional Development & Accredited Hours

Through your work as a PA, you deepen your understanding of the IFS model in a direct, hands-on context. PA days are recognized as training/practice hours toward IFSI certification — particularly valuable for those already working toward it.

Deepening Your IFS Practice

Working directly with learners is the most effective way to consolidate your own IFS skills — a standalone learning experience that meaningfully complements Level 2 and Level 3.

No Course Fees

You participate in the training at no cost and receive a daily allowance to cover meals and travel expenses.

Network & Exchange

You connect directly with experienced IFS trainers, become part of the international trainer network, and build lasting collegial relationships within the IFS community.

What qualifications do I need to become a PA?

IFS experience

You have completed at least one IFS Level 1 training course at the international IFS Institute or its partners and work regularly with the IFS model. For the first Level 1 training course in autumn 2025, individuals who completed their training at a German institute will also be eligible to participate.

Access to your SELF-energy

You will be able to recognize and regulate your own emotional reactions during the training.
