IFS WORKSHOP:
UNBLENDING WITH THE CONFERENCE TABLE METHOD
Course description
Many IFS therapists are familiar with these challenges:
Clients who are completely fused with their parts and have little access to their inner energy. Internal systems in which protectors either reinforce or block each other. Polarizations that bring the therapeutic process to a standstill – and the feeling of not seeing the next clear step despite thorough IFS training.
The conference table method
The conference table method offers a structured and effective approach precisely for these complex moments.
In this three-part workshop series, you will deepen your understanding of the conference table method and learn to apply it in a differentiated and situation-appropriate manner – regardless of the degree of integration or how many parts are active simultaneously. From simple to sophisticated externalization, from structured partial work to effective visualizations of the internal process.
The conference table method helps you to
-
To initiate and therapeutically support unblending,
-
To externalize parts and make them tangible for clients,
-
To recognize and set in motion polarizations,
-
to provide structured support for decision-making processes and
-
to keep track of things when many parts are present at the same time.
Format
-
Demonstration sessions: In vivid demonstration sessions, you will experience the different variations of the method in application.
-
Small group exercises: Intensive small group exercises allow you to experience the effectiveness of externalization and inner visualization directly – both in the therapeutic role and in your own self-experience.
-
Supervision: A final supervision block offers space to bring in specific cases, to deepen one's own work with IFS and to clarify open questions in a professionally sound manner.
Target audience
This workshop series is aimed at IFS therapists and professionals with psychotherapeutic qualifications who already use IFS in their work and wish to specifically deepen their competence in dealing with complex internal systems. Completion of an IFS Level 1 training (IFSI or equivalent) is a prerequisite.

Laura Milojevic is a licensed psychotherapist specializing in systemic family therapy and trauma therapy – and one of the few German-speaking therapists with IFS certification at Level 3.
She completed her IFS training directly at the IFSI in the USA, working with Richard Schwartz, Ann Sinko, and Einat Bronstein, among others. Since then, she has continuously deepened her practice through specialized consultation groups and advanced training – including on the topics of trauma, eating disorders, addiction, and group work with IFS.
In addition to her therapeutic practice in Vienna, Laura works as a training assistant at the IFS Academy and leads her own IFS introductory workshops for psychotherapists.
