IFS Level 2 #1692
Landshut, Bavaria
About the training
Curriculum
Level 2 builds on the experiences from Level 1 and specifically deepens clinical IFS competence where therapeutic work becomes particularly complex: in cases of strongly protective internal systems and early childhood traumatization.
The focus is on advanced IFS processes and the therapeutic relationship โ through self-experience, self-exploration, and a deeper examination of one's own role as therapist. A detailed description of the learning objectives can be found here .
Advanced IFS processes
Recognizing, understanding, and therapeutically addressing internal polarizations
Relief: Steps to healing, variations and advanced exercises
Hereditary burdens: concept, clinical classification and management
Identifying and resolving therapeutic bottlenecks in the IFS process
Therapist as part of the system
My own role in contact with highly stressed patients:
Recognizing and deepening self-energy as a therapeutic resource
Reactive aspects of the therapist: recognizing, classifying, differentiating
Reflection on one's own therapeutic development
Challenging therapy situations
Strongly repelled or dissociated exiles
Therapy courses with pronounced avoidance and intellectualization
Somatic trauma symptoms without verbal access
Working with the internal system when direct contact is not possible

Methods
The IFS Training Level 2 combines a solid theoretical foundation with a high experiential component โ methodically coordinated, didactically clearly structured.
Theory & Demo Sessions
Technical presentations, demonstration sessions and moderated plenary discussions convey the in-depth content of the IFS model.
Each session is followed by debriefing sessions where clinical questions from your practice are addressed.
โ
Supervised exercises
In small practice groups, you will apply what you have learned directly under the guidance of experienced training assistants (PAs). The gradual deepening of knowledge—from the conceptual level to clinical application—allows you to safely try out advanced and new IFS techniques and to systematically expand your own repertoire.
Self-experience
In guided self-exploration exercises and reflection groups, you will explore your own inner system. Familiarity with your own aspects sharpens your perception of what happens in the therapeutic encounterโand strengthens your self-energy as a foundation for your approach.
High quality of care
36 participants, one training assistant for every three people — a deliberately small group size to ensure close support for practice groups and to give experiential learning the space it needs. This complies with the international IFSI standard.
