Curriculum

The Level 3 training is aimed at experienced IFS practitioners who already master the theory and method of the model and now want to expand the depth of their work โ€“ in clinical practice as well as in their own therapeutic development.

The focus is not on acquiring new techniques, but on deepening self-leadership under pressure: in challenging therapy situations, in dealing with one's own triggers and blind spots, and in contact with one's own aspects as a therapist.

Transference & Countertransference

  • Transference and countertransference dynamics from the perspective of inner parts

  • Self-guided handling of trigger points in the therapeutic encounter

  • Identify and address your own blind spots and reactive tendencies

  • Maintaining self-energy โ€“ even under high relational pressure

Therapeutic Identity & Development

  • Giving and receiving self-guided feedback

  • Work between sessions: Accompanying patients in their independent process

  • IFS in group and couple contexts: Self-leadership in complex settings

  • Clarifying professional vision and life path from a self-guided perspective

โ€‹

Challenging therapy situations

  • Working with highly protective, controlling managers

  • Highly activated banished and volatile protection systems

  • Patients with pronounced resistance to the IFS model

  • Dangerous firefighters: Assessment and intervention in extreme situations

Deepening self-energy

  • Embodiment of self-energy: recognizing, losing, rediscovering

  • Spirituality and inner guidance as a therapeutic resource

  • Anchoring self-energy in everyday life โ€“ beyond the therapy session

  • Establishing a self-managed, collegial practice community

Methods

The IFS Training Level 3 combines a solid theoretical foundation with a high experiential component — methodically coordinated, didactically clearly structured.

Theory & Demo Sessions

Technical presentations, demonstration sessions and moderated plenary discussions convey the in-depth content of the IFS model.

Each session is followed by debriefing sessions where clinical questions from your practice are addressed.

โ€‹

Supervised exercises

In small practice groups, you will apply what you have learned directly under the guidance of experienced training assistants (PAs). The gradual deepening of knowledgeโ€”from the conceptual level to clinical applicationโ€”allows you to safely try out advanced and new IFS techniques and to systematically expand your own repertoire.

Self-experience

In guided self-exploration exercises and reflection groups, you will explore your own inner system. Familiarity with your own aspects sharpens your perception of what happens in the therapeutic encounterโ€”and strengthens your self-energy as a foundation for your approach.

High quality of care

36 participants, one training assistant for every three people — a deliberately small group size to ensure close support for practice groups and to give experiential learning the space it needs. This complies with the international IFSI standard.
